Two Stage Knot Flip Book

Two Stage Shoelace Knot diagram

This knot is made in two distinct stages. Make and secure one loop, then make and secure the other loop. The result is slightly more secure because it's less likely for both stages to come undone.

Begin with regular “Starting Knot” Fold right (blue) end into a “loop” Pass left (yellow) end behind loop Finish wrapping around the loop Feed left (yellow) end into “hole” Loose end pulled all the way through Fold right (yellow) end into a “loop” Pass short (blue) end behind loop Repeat wrap-around and feed-through Second stage pulled tight
