Current Method: (Empty)

Click on (or beside) eyelets to begin creating your own lacing, or load a preset lacing method for experimentation.

If your experiments match one of the preset methods, Create-a-Lace will identify it – even if it's flipped left-to-right, upside-down, inside-out – or any combination!

Visitor Feedback

I love it how neatly laid out and lightweight the site is, the “Shoelace Knot Comparison” article (from which I learned a lot), the tools (“Create-a-Lace” and the shoelace length calculator – wow!), and, of course, the so comprehensive Granny Knot page – turns out I've been tying shoelaces incorrectly (and suffering from that :-) my whole life.

Why I didn't have your great “Create-a-lace” when I was young? It would save me a lot of time and nerves. I bet you know that story – you draw most perfect pattern on the paper and then when you try to make it, you see that it is not possible or its too complicated 😁.
