Ian's Software Site - JPGExtra Program

This page is for those who've decided that they'd like to get a copy of my JPGExtra program. There are two versions: The free trial version will analyse all of your files but will only optimize 10 files per session. The full version is the real deal, which you can purchase at a "fair price".

Note that I'm neither a marketing guru nor a huge software corporation. JPGExtra is the only thing that I am currently selling - the rest of my web site is still totally free. This includes my extensive Ian's Shoelace Site, which is used and enjoyed by thousands of daily visitors, and has done so since 1999. Hopefully a few people will find my JPGExtra program to be useful and, through their purchase, subsidise the costs of running and maintaining my free web site.

Ian's "Fair" Pricing: Rather than set a fixed price, I encourage you to pay what you consider to be "fair". For a business web site with normally high bandwidth costs, a fair price could be the amount they expect to save in the first month or two. For an individual, a fair price could be anything from a dollar upwards. For Bill Gates, a fair price could be the amount he earns in one minute! Bear in mind that the tiny size of this program doesn't mean it's worth a tiny amount - don't underestimate the value of miniaturization!

This form of delivery is only possible because JPGExtra is so tiny, unlike most other software that is simply too large to email. Small Yet Powerful: Regardless of whether you've chosen the Free Trial Version or the Full Version, you will be receiving an incredibly tiny program. This may lead you to believe that it can't be very powerful. On the contrary - JPGExtra is written entirely in Assembly Language, the most powerful computer language of all. The main reason JPGExtra is so small is because I wanted it to be the smallest, fastest, most efficient program of its kind. Like the JPG files that it produces, the program has been kept to a bare minimum. I hope that you'll come to enjoy using this tiny program as much as I do.
